Excellence in ServiceOur Technology

  • CBCT: Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) allows unprecedented levels of information to be seen of your jaws. CT scans are taken for precise pre-operative planning and diagnostic work such as assessing patient’s suitability for dental implants and investigating bone quantity and density.
  • Facial Scanning: For aesthetic, lifelike restorations it is important to be able to visualise the patients face in three dimensions. Facial scanning allows for capture of all the nuances of the patients appearance. The dental technician can use this facial scan as part of the design process to sculpt aesthetic prostheses.
  • Intraoral Scanning: Traditionally when prosthesis such as crowns were being made an impression, a ‘goo’ like material, was placed in the mouth and allowed to set for a number of minutes. This was uncomfortable and was prone to inaccuracies. Intra oral scanning replaces this and allows for a digital impression to be made with light. The impression and jaw records are rapidly transferred to the dental laboratory, allowing for the fabrication of accurately fitting restorations such as crowns and bridges. Patients find these ‘digital’ impressions much more comfortable.
  • Modjaw: A stable occlusion or bite is very important for longevity and comfort of a dental reconstruction. Traitional tecniques for recoring jaw movement were time consuming, uncomftable and laborious. Modjaw is a jaw movement tracking technology that allows for precise and rapid recording of jaw movement. This data is transferred to the dental laboratory and allows the technician to fabricate lifelike restorations that articulate together correctly.
  • Exocad: Dental laboratory technology has advanced rapidly in the past 20 years. Exocad is the market leading software that allows for restorations to be digitally designed, precisely and quickly. All of the data harvested from the CBCT, facial and intraoral scans and the jaw tracking technology can brought together in this software to create a ‘digital patient’. It is like having the patient in the lab when designing the restorations. This allows for lifelike, precisely fitting prostheses with a stable and comfortable occlusion or bite.
  • Sprintray 3D Printing: 3D printing has changed the way many dental prostheses are fabricated. Tasks that took days or weeks can now be accomplished more accurately in a matter of minutes or hours. A tooth can be removed and replaced with a lifelike 3D printed crown in less than two hours.
  • LPRF: Platelet rich fibrin has developed over the past 20 years. It allows for rapid healing of hard and soft tissues at surgical and extraction sites. Healing factors are easily harvested from the patient, rapidly processed and placed at the treatment site. This allows for faster healing, less post-operative discomfort and more optimal outcomes.
